We have all said this before. “I would do anything for my family”. When I think about this it means I will be there to provide, support, and protect them against anyone or anything. What does that saying mean to you? If they are hungry will you feed them? It they are thirsty will you give them something to drink? If they are cold will you find something warm for them or lead them to a warm place? If they are in danger will you protect them? For most I think it mean all the above.
Another thing that is really not thought about to what extent will you be there for them and how far will you go. Would there be a time you would just surrender and give up? Would you do more for some family members than others? Will there be a time you would turn your back on them for self preservation? Will you take from others to provide for yours?
You also need to think about who will you be competing with for the survival of your family and to what extent will they go for theirs?
In times of serious needs people will change and be desperate for the survival of them and their family. And you should ask yourself how far will you go and how ready should you be.
Just think about it.
