When any party has a stance on an issues that they want to promote and sell the the American People they will often say, "this should not be a political issue, it is just common snice". The way our government has evolved throughout history and the current way the government moves any agenda along, everything they do is political. No one bill turns into law or get out of committee without deals and favors being called in. Politian's are out to further their cause which most of the times are the causes that affect their constituents. The will not only have to think about what their morals tell them but also what might get them reelected or at time might get them voted out.
Elected officials are not the only one that has to deal with politics. Anyone that works in an environment were the opinion of other matter will need to worry about the politics of their decisions.
I am not saying this is always the case and that this is a bad way to govern but this is way I see it. Every elected person that is part of the government that governs is a politician and everything they do is politics. Anyone that has to worry about the impact of public or a governing bodies oversight needs to be a politician when needed.
Again just to be clear all political parties give us this line and expect us to believe them. Well I don't, do you?
